About us

We empower women, youth, and vulnerable communities.

Social Women and Resilience Organization (SWRO) is a non-profit, non-political, and community-driven organization established in 2020 to empower women, youth, and vulnerable communities across Somalia.
Headquartered in Kismayo with sub-offices in Baidoa and Mogadishu, SWRO promotes gender equality, resilience, and sustainable development through community-based programs.

We work with IDPs, returnees, and host communities to improve livelihoods, expand access to education and health, strengthen protection services, and build long-term community resilience.
Our commitment is rooted in partnership, participation, and empowerment—ensuring that communities lead the change they want to see.
